In September 1981, Texaco's Eagle Point Plant reached a Settlement Agreement with OSHA concerning certain chest X-ray findings and their possible relation to past asbestos exposure. Eagle Point's Health Division was also required to review their chest X-ray reports for the pre ceding five C5i years for the presence of these findings.
As a result of this review, four retired employes. were identified whose chest X'-ray reports were included in this group, p^cause we are uncertain whether or not the results ^re previously made known to these employes, I - propose to advise tl^Jfh using a letter similar to the enri.oseo-'draft. I would appreciate your review of the at tachment and yourc, prompt advice of any changes, corrections or additions which may be indicated.

Dear t
The Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA)
recently requested a review of all chest X-rays taken at
Eagle Point Plant for the last five years. The purpose of
this was to determine the presence of a variety of X-ray
findings which might be related to asbestos exposure in the
past.
Your chest X-ray report, dated , was
one of those reviewed. Because we are uncertain as to
whether or not the Plant doctor at that time advised you
of the findings, I am sending you a copy of the report for
!?' discussion with your personal"physician. Should you or he
>
require additional information, please let me know or con-
