In verband met de vraag van EPEE zal ik hen laten weten dat we geen meetings meer plannen voor dit jaar, ze kunnen wel nog informatie doorsturen zodat dit onder anderen met de BCR gedeeld kan worden. Rond de betrokkenheid van jullie team binnen de EU discussies nodig ik jullie uit om deel te nemen via het CCIM PFAS netwerk, via dit netwerk wordt er informatie gedeeld en worden er ook inputs voorbereid voor EU discussies, zoals we al eerder gedaan hebben dit jaar voor de uPFAS restrictie onder REACH bijvoorbeeld. Laat maar weten als er specifieke zaken zijn waar jullie graag meer info over hebben! Vriendelijke groeten,

Ik wil ook toevoegen dat the F-Team van de dienst Klimaatverandering ook betrokken wil worden bij de Europese discussies over PFAS, aangezien dit ook betrekking heeft op onze taken.

I am happy to contact youon behalf of EPEE, the voice of the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) manufacturers in Europe, an association based in Brussels. In the context of the PFAS Universal Restriction proposal submitted to the European chemical agency ECHA, we would like to highlight to you and your ministry our concerns and recommendations.
Indeed, the proposal covers a wide range of fluorinated gases, used in our sector as refrigerants, and all fluoropolymers, used as essential components for the proper functioning of the equipment. The RACHP products provide heating and cooling to society: refrigeration for food supplies, safe transport of medicines and vaccines, comfort to citizens in homes and offices, decarbonization of buildings with heat pumps, etc. Our products are compliant with high energy efficiency requirements.
Please find in attachment a summary of our submission to ECHA, and our full submission for your information.
We would be happy to have an online or in-person meeting with you in the coming weeks to share our position and discuss the points that your ministry and that Belgium may want to consider when the Restriction proposal will be assessed by Member States.
