Paolantonio R. H. Rawlings Analyses made of the VCM level in the reactor buildings by the continuous monitors are dependent upon an external calibration to a standard gas. Commercial standard gases are on order. Until their arrival, the standard is made up in the analytical lab., standardized and then used to calibrate the units. To help assure accuracy, the calibration is checked at least weekly. The results of the last two checks are shown below: 1. Calibration check, 8/27/74 (nominal standard 7.0 ppm) VCM Readings In: RA RB RC .8.0 7.4 6 0 .7.8 7.4 6 0 7.8 The sample was depleted at RC possibly leading to lower values. The readings were felt to be within accepted limits for this low standard (i. e. + 10%). No alterations were made in the calibrations. 2. OTHER. OLI 2608 -2RA and RB were within accepted limits. RC was out of calibration, and was therefore, recalibrated. This calibration yeas checked with a second standard whose nominal concentration was 51 ppm. RC recorded it at 50 ppm. RB was crosschecked with this standard, it also registered 50 ppm.
