We were certainly glad that you were able to attend the Safety Seminar held on October 24, 1969, at the Chemists Club in New York. Many of you at that time expressed a desire to have a list of all of the people who did attend. I am happy to enclose one. You will recall that there was`much enthusiasm generated about the possibility of establishing a PVC Safety Council or something similar which would suggest a meeting of the PVC producers on some regular basis for the sole purpose of discussing the broad aspects of safety in general. By the show of hands the feeling was almost unanimous. Some interest was expressed about the possibility of having our industry represented at the annual AICHE Meetings as part of their program and there were several other forums suggested. We would suggest that if you were able to discuss this possibility with your managements and, if the feeling is still the same, that you would drop me a note. As of this writing three producers have acknowledged their interest and I hope all of you will be able to favorably respond. At any rate, I look forward to hearing from you and, in particular, any comments that you may have about how such a Council might be programmed and whom should be represented, etc. I look forward to your constructive comments and certainly if there are those who feel negative about the suggestion, I would welcome their thoughts as well. Yours sincerely. TENNECO PLASTICS DIVISION lp ^ CJK RAP JL K GIR:nw G. I. Rozand Vice President Manufacturing PLASTICS1BGS`196S KEYSTONE OF THE FUTURE REC RQV 7 '955 p OCC 2667
