TITLE: Classification of Calcined Product, Batch 28-1
PURPOSE: This classification is being made to remove oversize material.and any remaining dust from the product.
BACKGROUND: This classification is equivalent to the normal treatment of plant batches.
NUMBER OP TEST BATCHES: One. .(Batch'28-1)
STARTING DATE: July 8, .1966,
PROCEDURE;
The Hurricane classifier is to be operated with 4 decks backward and 35 louvers (normal). Operating speed is to be 1000 RPM and feed rate 500 pph. Air flow is to be adjusted to give a 50$ + 2$ cut on the 21 fraction* The 11 fraction is expected to contain the balance, with loss to the 31 fraction being negligible. The 21 fraction will be reclassified at the same conditions with the 26-16 split again being 50$ 4- 2$. The final
product will be the combined 11 and 1"6 fractions. Con ditions for this run are patterned after Run MSP-1203-^/6 made at the Engineering Test Center by E. F, Klenke ahcT*
R. E, Stuber.
SAFETY; No unusual operating hazards exist.
