Ron Henderson lead a discussion on the general prac tices involved in handling asbestos as written in S-125. C. Jimbo Ryan talked about the definitions contained in the Safety Order. D. Ray Malonson explained the DPMC work practices in volved as defined in the Sa-fety Order. ACTION ITEMi Jerry Smith volunteered to contact the Industrial Hygiene Department and in quire about the BPA Control Room venti lation requirements regarding asbestos fibers. E. Ray Malonson also discussed the requirements for demolition and renovation of asbestos materials as contained in S-125. ACTION ITEMi Ray Malonson agreed to notify the Indus trial Hygiene Department concerning the asbestos removal which took place in the BPAM area approximately two years ago and request the air monitoring results. F. Enrico DeSalle discussed the sections contained in ** S-125 concerning asbestos disposal and also the section involving Annual Medical Exams and Employee Training. IX. NEAR MX88 REPORTING Jerry Smith explained the DPMC requirements for near miss reporting. He also gave a definition of a near miss and presented the "Accident Prevention" form which is to be used for reporting of near misses. The group also viewed a film on near misses.
