Since I work with Duane often (and just had him lend his signature to a letter to the General Assembly yesterday re: our strict lmg/1 Mn standard) I don't think it would be appropriate for me to attend without Duane having the opportunity. I will of course defer to you and understand the need to keep it small. I've already been given the opportunity to participate in a roundtable with the Administrator, so I'd be happy to not attend if you'd like to keep the invite list as is. Complicated, I know, but professionally I'd be stepping on toes and our working relationship.
Also, I spoke with Stefanko yesterday and looped him in so that he knows the contact is Lehigh and not Anthracite Council.

As for DEP, you could extend an invite to John Stefanko the heads the Active and Abandoned Mine Program or Bill Plassio who manages the District Mining Offices. I know them both rather well. We didn't have anyone from DEP at Consol, but if you have a good relationship with Mike it could be beneficial.

I have trimmed my initial list considerably. I have not included anyone from ARIPPA, although Robindale Energy and Lehigh Anthracite are members. Thanks for putting this together, Rusty. It looks like a strong program. Adding Millan who heads our scheduling and advance teams just for her situational awareness.
You are correct in that we would not have reporters and it would not be open to press. However, we would likely do a press release- or joint release/ statement- alongside Director Mulvaney on the backend and at the end of the day. Thanks for the intel on the outdoor footwear/ specs of the tour too.
Do you two mind shooting me a list of potential attendees once you have a chance to draft? I agree on there not being much of a need to include local elected given that we want to keep this small.

All attendees meet in conference room, quick round of introductions, Anthracite 101 to provide attendees a better understanding of what they will see on tour. Bottled water available, recommend use of rest rooms before departing on field trip.
1:30 pm - tour begins with stop at observation area above coal processing plant
Tour continues by traveling out main haul road to 2nd stop, observation area above active surface mining operation.

Tate, I have viewed several Youtube videos and read several articles of the recent trip by Administrator Pruitt to Consol in SW PA. My assumption is that this visit will consist of less PR, no reporters and a smaller group of officials? Will Administrator Pruitt want to make a public statement during this visit? Please give me as much incite as possible as to the Administrators objective for this visit so we can be prepared. Right now, I am planning for a very low-key, somewhat informal meeting and tour of our operations.

Hey Rusty! Nice speaking with you earlier today! Below is the information you requested and I look forward to receiving your tentative schedule.
The Administrator and Director Mulvalleys' security details would likely do a walk through on October 1, the day prior to the event. They will want to go through the officials' agenda step by step, including the tour, seeing the boardroom and a quick view of any vehicles that may be used to transport the officials on the tour (if not theirs).
On October 2, we would look to do an afternoon tour (1 or 2ish) followed by a 45 min-1 hr roundtable to discuss issues impacting the industry.
If you can include more information on what to expect on the tour as well (lots of walking? Is any part of it underground?), that would be great!
