Subject: High C-8 result
1just found out that w e had some high C-8 results, in FEP at the slab rack area and in Fine Powder C-8 recovery building. These samples were all taken on 6 /8 /9 9 , but the results just came back. The locations are in areas where there is not a lot of activity, and since these were area samples, incident reports will not be necessary.
However, investigations are needed to see if th e cause can be determined in both areas.
The last time this happened in the FEP slab area, the H & V s had been turned off.
FEP slab area result w as 0 .6 2 C-8 recovery roof area was 0 .5 4 , below the AEL, but very close. Inside the C -8 recovery building was 1.15 The AEL for C-8 is 0 .5 6 .
'
If I could be of any help in the investigations, let me know.
Thanks Jack
