BLM Planning and Environmental Review Streamlining

These lands belong to ALL Americans, not just locals who fail to respect the integrity of these lands, their importance to watershed function, water supplies and wildlife habitat. We have seen examples thru history of local management..devastated watersheds, forests stripped bare of trees, mudflows and mudslides as sheep and cattle destroyed watershed function.
It is time to fully enforce the intent of the environmental and public trust laws, quit pandering to the loud mouthed local yokels who have no clue as to the value of these lands or their politicians who would sell every acre off to please their lobbyists..
As a scientist, i have become disgusted with the lack of scientific management of our public lands, the devastation wrought by livestock grazing in the west, the abandonment of basic range science principles to establish sustainable stocking rates, provide rest so native plants can recover their vigor before being grazed again and the near total destruction of the springs, wetlands and streams on BLM land by cattle and sheep.
Expediency is not the answer, science and following the intent of the law are.
We will be happy to provide science on these topics for inclusion in the final proposal if given the opportunity.
