Stapleton - B2SA Our objective in proposing a roasting with the representatives of the Inter-agency PCS Task Force is to review with them the status of sons studies which Monsanto has under way and which up to now have not been discussed in any detail. He would like to discuss the data which we have on the biodegradation of PCB's, the PCS levels in animal tissues from our long term feeding studies, the development of a modified PCS for capacitor use, the significance of use of this material and its potential impact on the environment, and briefly review our experiences in con trolling the PCS in our effluent from the plant which manufactures dielectric PCS. A discussion of this nature will contribute significantly Coward satisfying a void which now exists in the PCS knowledge gathered by the Task Force. Hopefully the Task Force representatives will better understand and appreciate our efforts in controlling not only the PCS losses to the environment but also the significance of the types of isomers now being used.
