Dear 8(e) Coordinator:
Re: Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) ______Updated Occupational Blood Monitoring Information
On December 10, 2004, as part of a voluntary response to a request from Charles M. Auer of the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics, DuPont (through its counsel) submitted occupational PFOA blood monitoring information to EPA. This submission provides updated occupational PFOA blood monitoring information from various DuPont sites, including sites outside the United States.
The levels of PFOA reported with this submission are generally corroborative of previously reported levels. While DuPont does not believe this information is substantial risk information reportable under TSCA 8(e), DuPont is submitting the information to the TSCA 8(e) office in view of the Agency's continued interest in perfluorinated substances.
For your convenience, this submission (cover letter and attachment) is being provided in hard copy and on CD.
Sincerely,
