Our CALIDRIA Resin-Crade 144 Asbestos is nearly pure chrysotile asbestos. A differen t type, known as cro eld o llte, is believed by aany a u th o rities to be implicated in ****Inc nesothallona and lung cancer. Our asbestos products do not contain cro eld o llte, which is a product of South Africa. A connection between chrysotile asbestos and mesothelioma or lung cancer has not been cle arly determined. The Federal Government recently promulgated new occupational health standards under the Walsh-Healey Act, applying to noise, dust, gases, e tc . The new Were publi` hed ** the Federal Register, Vol. 34, No. 12, Jan. 17, 1969* They epply to firms doing business v ith the Federal Govermcnt, and i f your company s e lls d ire c tly to a Federal Agency, i t may be well to re fe r to them. We require that-^all employees exposed to asbestos dust in excess of the thresh old lim it value wear a resp irato r with a U.S.B.M.-approved f i l t e r for pneumoco niosis-producing dusts. The p a rtic u la r resp irato r we use is a Willson Honooask, Style No. 60GA, D.S.B.M. approval No. 2170.
