Re: 8EHQ-04-15856
Dear Document Control Officer:
On behalf of E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, we hereby submit supplemental information regarding prior submission 8EHQ-04-15856. The enclosed information is a summary of a manuscript previously submitted under this number. The manuscript and summary describe how a retrospective exposure analysis using various environmental models was conducted to estimate potential intake of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) over the past 53 years by persons residing in parts of Ohio and West Virginia.
DuPont does not believe that the enclosed information triggers reporting obligations under TSCA 8(e). The information does not reasonably support a conclusion that the chemicals in question present a substantial risk to health or the environment. It does not relate to any possible effect, but only to theoretical exposure.
If you have questions, please contact me at the number above. Sincerely,
89070000013
