Company Ownership: Harding Materials lnc is privately owned and had one additional owner buy into the company in 2018. Process Description: Harding Materials Inc. is an asphalt manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Eight to ten different types of aggregate are trucked onto the facility and stored in stockpiles. Depending on customer needs the different types of aggregate are loaded into bins and then conveyed into a rotary drum to dry at 600F. The dried aggregate goes to the mixing chamber and is combined with solid recycled asphalt and liquid asphalt cement. The final product leaves the mixing chamber through a chute and conveyed to storage silos where it is eventually loaded into trucks.
