PLAINTIFF'S EXHIBIT ASA-546 Department of Environmental Science* M. 0. Varner Manager January 26, 1978 Mr. W... Swaford _ --.. \, t CAP CO - Ragland li- V* iJ v.,- W"Y 'X'- Of Please find enclosed the results of your most recently submitted asbestos samples. I believe these results, in combination with those taken earlier, show the dust collector operator is not exposed above the OSHA 8-hour TWA under normal working conditions. Continued wearing of respiratory pro tection when inside the baghouse and periodic monitoring of the operator seen to be the only actions warranted at this time. I have taken your water samples to the lab and requested analyses for total suspended solids, pH, and asbestos. I will report the results to you as soon as the analyses are completed.
