N.Y May 25, 1959 NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGES IN CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS You ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONSTITUTION AND By-LaW8 OF the Friction Materials Standards Institute, Inc,, the following proposed changes in the Constitution and By-Laws Of said Institute will be presented to the membership at the annual meeting to be held on June 10th, 1959 at 10:00 A,M, at the Edgewater Beach Hotel for ratification. ARTICLE tl (a) After the woros - by the brake lining - insert ",brake shoe". ARTICLE III Section I. Classification. After the words - one known as "Regional Members" - insert ", one known as "Associates" and a thiro known as "Brake Shoe Manufacturing Members". Section 2. Eligibility. At the eno of this section, ado the following: Any person, _F IRM or corporation locateo in any country, other than one "behind the Iron Curtain", engaged in the manufacture of brake shoes in commercial quantities SHALL BE ELIGIBLE TO BECOME A BRAKE SHOE MANUFACTURING MEMBER. Sect ion 5. Rights of Members. Add the following: (c) Brake Shoe Manufacturing Members. A Brake Shoe Manufacturing Member is en titled to attend all meetings of the membership of the Institute but shall have no RIGHT TO VOTE ON ANY QUE8TI0N RAI8ED, SUCH MEMBER, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF Directors, will be eligible for appointment to any committees acting on behalf of the Institute. However, such members are not eligible to become a member of the Boaro of Directors. Such members shall receive any and all information, data, circulars, or WRITTEN MATERIAL RELEASED BY THE INSTITUTE PERTAINING TO UNLINED BRAKE SH0E8. ARTICLE IX Section 2. Annual Fees. Regional Memberb.Change the $750.00 to ?l,000.00 and the annual membership fee of a trade group from $1,500.00 to $1,750.00, Ado the following to this section: Brake Shoe Manufacturing Members. The annual fee of a brake shoe manufacturing member shall be $300.00 payable semi-annually in advance on the first days of July and January. There shall be no pro-rating of such annual fees of a brake shoe manu facturing MEMBER AND SUCH MEMBER WHO 18 AOMITTEO DURING THE FISCAL YEAR SHALL BE OBLIGATED TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE ANNUAL FEE8 FOR THE THEN CURRENT FISCAL YEAR.
