I am making my way through the SAP report that you kindly pointed me to, and find it very interesting. I should mention that we are working on an article which, in part, compares the differing evaluations of glyphosate safety arrived at by the several agencies that have examined the issue, including EPA, WHO's IARC, the European Food Safety Agency, European Chemicals Agency, WHO/FAO, etc. We are very interested in how and why the evaluations differ. I have a question and a request. Question: The SAP makes a number of recommendations to EPA for revisions and updating of the Sept 2016 Glyphosate Issue Paper on carcinogenicity. What is the process by which the Issue Paper is revised, assuming that the suggestions of the SAP are adopted? What are the next steps, formal or informal, for doing this, and what is the estimated timeline? Request: At some point, probably late next week, I would like to talk to an appropriate EPA scientific expert who is intimately familiar (or participated in, even better) the analyses published in the Issue Paper and pose a number of questions to him or her about that process.
