Total packaged inventory for the month remained about the same. There was a gain for packaged compound but export resins shipments offset the gain, and held the inventory at about the same level.

RAIL ACTIVITY REPORT - P. Wells
One derailment occurred 8/13/81 involving one loaded hopper car and partially loaded hopper car. No injuries or material loss involved. Slowdown week of 8/13/81 due to tying in construction work with operations slowed rail switch activity inside plant. Congestion continued to be problem during August. Meeting 8/25/81 with Conoco representative and ICG representatives. Discussed future repair work on Monroe lead and effects on plant operations; switching problems; and congestion problems. There were 842 car movements during the month of August.

On August 24th, made a run from Aberdeen to Ponca City, OK to Cleveland, OH to Niles, IL.
Equipment Unit #1471 had engine overhaul.
