Scarito As we discussed yesterday, it appears that a good part of the haze and gloss problem associated with 1742 is contributed to by AR-901. Although Process Engineering trials at spray drying adjustments for the AR-901 latex showed improvement for the clarity of the AR-901 film, the 1742 results at 7 minutes heating did not show any noticeable improvements. It appears that we are on the right track but the capability to do any further meaningful experiments at the plant level is limited. I am therefore requesting that this activity be pursued by R&D. On our part, we will pursue a similar plant level evaluation of 1740 drying and pro cessing conditions to see if we can impact the haze and gloss levels that are inherent In this base resin. WM/gs W.
