Stone was invited to appear before the Committee and upon being requested to address the Committee on the con- v dition of the Insulation business tendered his resignation. The Committee requested that he hold this matter in abeyance and sit in with the Committee and listen to the other proceedings. 3. Sir. Rowoldt and Sir. TTelchko were then invited to come in. 4. Mr. Pollen then spoke on the subject of 'What is wrong with the Insulation business?" He presented a very thorough report on all phases of the business^such as the labor situation at the plant, the condition of machinery, the plant organization, and products and service. In conclusion he proposed to the Committee that lr. Ryan take complete charge of the Insulation business. After considerable discussion the Committee approved of this suggestion and Hr. Ryan was asked to assume his new duties at as early a date as possible. It was the consensus of opinion that we are in the Insulation business to stay. i \ \ -- 2--
