Seer Sr* Kehoe, X hope 70a will not mind my writing: to yon again in connection with the estimetion of blood--Iced* The laboratory staff of the School of Public Health of the University of Sydney hare now become most interested in the problem of estimating the lead concentration in the blood of children suspected of -- or definitely known to hare -- lead poisoning*' " We hare attempted to improvise satisfactory equipment for the collecting of blood samples} bat so far hare not been very, successful* We feel it would perhaps be best to obtain some of the special collecting units, consisting of an evacuated tube and a special needle, as described in the brochure "Methods for Determining Lead in Air and in Biological Materials*, and which are, X imagine, what I hare myself used when X was a resident at the Cincinnati Children*s Hospital* Howcrer, on contacting the local agent of the Beeton, Dickinson Company, X am informed that a special import permit will hare to he secured and that it will not be possible to arrange this before April of this yssr* X sm therefore writing to ask, sir, if you, or one of your staff, would be good enough to let me know the technical name or description of the special collecting unit* X think X shall then be able to arrange for some friend of mine in the H.S.A. to send me out some of the units by sir-mail so that we can get on with the job without too much delay* I must apologise for worrying you again, sin, but shall be most grateful for your help* N22320
