Dear Administrator Pruitt:
The Northwest's leading independent, free-market think tank, Washington Policy Center (WPC), would like to invite you to be the keynote speaker for our statewide 2017 Solutions Summit policy conference in Washington state. The event will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Spokane. We hope this date will work with your schedule.
Washington Policy Center will be honored to host you and cover all first-class travel costs for you and a staff member or guest.
The statewide event encompasses two half-day conferences that are designed to provide insight and solutions for our region's top policy challenges. Each conference will feature panels on: the environment, agriculture, education, transportation, budget and taxes, health care, and business & labor reform issues. They will bring together prominent local and national speakers on each of these important issues to help shape the public debate by educating policymakers and informing citizens.
This is our state's largest policy event that will be attended by over 700 people including lawmakers, business and community leaders, media, and civic-minded citizens from across the state. We would be honored to have you join us as the keynote speaker at lunch for the event in Spokane.
Washington Policy Center is a non-profit think tank, similar to The Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute, and one of the largest and most impactful members of State Policy Network. Our research and education advance the public debate and develop innovative policy solutions.
Year-in and year-out, W PC's events are some of the best-attended in our state, and are a must-attend for some of the nation's top policy leaders including Defense Secretary Gen. Jim Mattis, Dr. Charles Krauthammer, Gov. Susana Martinez, former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Dr. Ben Carson, Governor Scott Walker, Governor Bobby Jindal, and Governor Mitch Daniels.
Over the past few years, dozens of our ideas have been passed by voters and the legislature and signed into law. Citizens depend on our analysis to make decisions on our state's pressing public policy matters. Our work is featured in the media an average of over seven times a day and has been covered by national media including USA Today, CBS News, Fox News, and The Wall Street Journal.
