Schedules for instructors will be pre pared and mailed to them. 2. Plant Safety Index The committee submitted their proposal and after considerable discussion, it vtas decided to do the following: A. Revise Bulletin P-0111, Major Incident Investigation. B. Make preparation for using the Index during 1962 on a trial basis. C. Report the Index values on ta monthly basis to the General Operating Supervisors only. Sc 16894 LAM024164 Page 2 NEW BUSINESS 1. Hourly Safety Committee The items will be handled by the Safety Director. 2. Pipe Rack Signs After a lengthy discussion of Mr. Pox's letter and the problem of maintaining the accuracy of the pipe rack signs, it was decided that: A. Pipe rack drawings should be brought up-to-date for those locations where signs exist. B. Each General Operating Supervisor will provide a knowledgeable man to work on a team to bring the signs up-to-date. C. This team will report to Mr. Nisbet for instructions. 3. Home Safety Review Magazine It was agreed that this magazine was of value in our Off-TheJob Safety Program, and Mr. Chamberlin will discuss with the Safety Director the matter of whether or not it can be in cluded in the budget for 1962. 4. Eye Baths and Showers It was agreed that no plant-wide change should be made, but that the existing eye baths should be brought up to the exist ing standard, or alternate standard, and all of the "garage type" hose valves should be removed where they now exist on eye baths. It was further suggested that a plastic or rubber pad with the circle on it should be considered for marking the location of safety showers. It is believed that the circle which is specified in the standard is a good marking, but it is quite expensive when put on by paint which is now the case. MISCELLANEOUS Mr. Gilmore again asked for the status report on the Process Hazard Committee itemB. Mr. Gilmore read a letter from one of the employees' wives concern ing self protection training for shift workers' wives. This will be discussed at the next meeting. SC 16895 CLG:lrt C. L.
