Du Pont Company / Public Affairs Department:/ Wilmington, Delaware 19898 WILMINGTON, Del., April 22 -- the Du Pont Company has filed a suit in Tokyo charging two Japanese companies with infringement of Du Pont's patent covering inorganic pigments sold under the trademark "Krolor". The Du Pont suit alleges that Toho Ganryo Kogyo Company Ltd. and Nihon Inorganic Color and Chemical Company Ltd. are producing and marketing pigments which infringe the basic Japanese patent granted to Du Pont in 1973. "Krolor" pigment colors covered by the patent are silicaencapsulated lead chromate and lead-molybdate inorganic pigments. "Krolor" pigments are used in the paint and plastics industries for their heat stability, chemical resistance and light fastness properties. #### 4/22/81 Editorial Contact; Don G.
