Hi Jahan,
We would like to send out a "News Flash" about Administrator Pruitt opening our conference immediately after the session - once he has left the Westin. Something similar to the attached, but adjusted based on the actual conversation flow. It would go to our entire membership and trade press.
Would that be ok? We are trying to scoop the trade press that is in the room so our members who are not in attendance hear about his conversation from us first.

Would it be ok if we handed out the postcards (attached again for your convenience) during our conference registration on Wednesday? Registration opens at noon and Administrator Pruitt speaks at 3PM that same day. It would be a nice "wow" factor for our attendees. They would receive a postcard as they pick up their conference badge - kind of a "you won't want to miss this session" message.

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt Opens SIGMA 2017 Annual Conference
SIGMA: America's Leading Fuel Marketers opened its 2017 Annual Conference in Chicago with a conversation between Scott Pruitt, Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and SIGMA Vice Chairman and Legislative Committee Chair Brad Puryear, General Counsel, Mansfield Energy.
Mr. Puryear opened the conversation by thanking Administrator Pruitt on behalf of the fuel marketing industry and the American public for helming EPA's quick and decisive response to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma earlier this year. Pruitt's leadership "inspired the rapid action taken by the agency to issue countless waivers for our industry, ensuring the flow of product did not stop to the affected areas, keeping emergency services functioning and getting the affected states back on their feet much faster with a steady fuel supply to keep the recovery efforts moving," Puryear said.
Administrator Pruitt shared with SIGMA attendees what defines his position and what led him to serve in his current role, as well as his unique perspective of the EPA with his background as a private citizen and former Oklahoma attorney general. The biggest challenge facing EPA is _________________and its biggest opportunity is _______________________, Pruitt said.
In response to a question regarding whether he sees a future drive to homogenize transportation fuels to lessen seasonal and regional blends, Administrator Pruitt said__________________________ . Mr. Puryear commented that such an effort would lower fuel costs and help in crisis situations by increasing the supply of compliant fuel available for sale.
