KEUPER CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ENGINEER During my visit to the Spruance Construction site, May 17, 1966, I discussed with R. A. Miniard, FPM, the interest in biological effects of asbestos dust and particals v/hen working with insulation materials and asbestos products. Miniard proposed I review with T. Brooks the list of questions you and I discussed prior to the trip. Brooks* comments were as follows: Limpet appears to be the most economical material to insulate large areas even with strict safety regulations i. e., men wearing respirators orvair masks, work done in restricted areas away from other operations. The materials currently being used at the Spruance Shop are dustier in the order listed. Cal. While at -the shop, dust was collected under the electric cutter used to -,cut asbestos cloth, approx 36" of cloth was cut having a fair amount of dust and small pieces of asbestos on bench. Asbestos felt has been discontinued on all U. S.
