Hammann 3R-16 5130 1Z OA-11 SS-18 0-22 These are the minutes of the February 29, 1984, SHAC committee meeting. The next meeting will be March 6, 1984, at 9:30 a.m. in the VIP Conference Room. The meeting after that will be held March 15, 1984, at 9:30 a.m. in the VIP Conference Room. c Status of Safety Awards The jackets are on order. Patch delivery may delay receipt of the jackets. Hourly Safety Committee There is a policy that says that keys must be left in the ignition of cars at all times in the plant. The policy is currently being interpreted that cars in designated parking areas are exempt from this policy. This interpretation should be included in the written policy. This will be referred to PMSB. Enhancement of the STOP Program Several proposals were discussed to enhance the STOP program. A proposal will be decided upon at the next meeting. 1984 Annual Inspection Texas City will interchange inspectors with Chocolate Bayou for the annual inspection. Attached is a list of SHAC assignments for the annual inspection. SC 000982 LAM002180 f Quarterly Inspections The 1st Quarterly Inspection of 1984 will be sometime in the first two weeks of April. Emphasis areas will be developed at the next meeting. Replies from the last Quarterly Inspection are due the 28th of February. A proposed schedule will be available by the next meeting. Contractor Safety Program The PMSB approved the plant contractor safety program. The MFI contractor health and safety guideline is in conflict with the proposed plant contractor safety program. The contractor safety committee will resolve these differences and questions. The target is to implement the plant contractor safety program by June 1st. Pub!icity The following publicity items have been developed: 1. Article in plant newspaper on president's safety award. 2. Article in plant newspaper on 4th Quarter housekeeping awards. 3. Article coming up on HCN complex safety. 4. Article coming up on Machinists safety. 5. Article coming up on 513 safety. Unit-Craft Safety Team Training The unit-craft safety team training was excellent. Excellent cross discussion by members resolved most all concerns brought up. Safety attitudes were very positive. : Safety Shower & Eye Bath Freeze Procedures Recommendations are being sought from the next Texas Chemical Council, Occupational Safety Committee meeting on safety shower and eye bath freeze procedures. v `Wv J.
