A brief summary of the case follows! This company insures St. John's Cemetery Company, 49 N. 5th Street, Hambur g , Pennsylvania for Workmen's Compensation purposes. . an employee of'St. John's Cemetery died July 27, 1946. His wife ^^apetiijion for Workmen's Compensation benefits in which she states that was efflplyed as a" maintenance man, mowing grass and digging g r a f e s T ^ the^cemetery and-thah-h suffered an accident on May 4, 1946 because he was exposed'to exhaust fumes by a gasoline digger for graves and that he contacted lead poisoning'ns a result of his exposure to the fumes of the burn ing gasoline. V ;\ / / ' Our investigation-leads us to believe that it is not possible for the claimant to have-ingested lead in the maimer described in the claim petition. However, in order~to defend the case properly, we shall need proper proof. If you have an extra copy of the Bureau of Mines publication, we ask that you kindly loan or sell it to us. In the event your Monograph Number two deals with the subject and copies are available, we shall be happy to purchase two copis.
