CHEMICALS INTEROFFICE / LAKE CHARLES TO FROM John Weihr j, Murry D August 12, 1987 Physical Examinations for Contractor Personnel Derivatives Area Commencing immediately the hands on portion of the physical exami nation for contractor personnel will no longer be a requirement for work in the Derivatives areas. We will continue to require the blood work for liver function studies, the drug screen and comple tion of the Medical History form. The plant physician will review the Medical History form and the blood analysis to determine if the individual has a problem with his liver function that would prohi bit work in those areas. If the physician determines his liver functions are normal and we have verification of a negative drug scr en, the individuals will be approved for work in Derivatives. This should reduce the work load in our Medical Department as well as reduce the lost time for contractor employees to report for work. This procedure does not apply to Daniels employees.
