There was no dust at all at any of the above three places. Very little noise here* There are nov; two baggers and both have exhaust lines in back of the bagger funnel. Ro. 1 bagger at which screened asbestos is bagged had air velocities at top of bag of lpO to 200* per minute. At a home made wooden open faced hood affair^ over the weigh scales, air velocities are 100 to 125*. This hood just installed this year ;)<> to catch any dust that might be raised if asbes tos is removed or added.to the bag. It takes eight minutes to fill a 100 lb. bag at the bagger. A similar -exhaust line at bagger and hood .over scales has been installed at' No. 2 bagger .which bags unscreened asbestos. Not ,in operation this AM. Acid washing of the asbestos is still dene outside then the wet asbe3t.os is carried into a small building for water washing and pressing under a hand press to eliminate the water and is then steam dried. This purified asbestos is then screened and packed by a man wearing a Dustfoe respirator. While the atmosphere seemed clear, judging by the dust on the floor, some of the fine asbestos escapes the exhaust hood; Air velocities at the hood.were 100 to 125* per minute. There is also a 6" flex hose which can be placed any place in the room and is used to clean up the fine asbestos. Sanitation A toilet and U and WB have been installed in the small building. A concrete block-addition with roof and-windows has been completed and work is progress-* ing toward installation of two showers. lockers are to be installed. Medical ' .
