HOBEWIEBERS
The Honorable Scott Pruitt Administrator U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20460
Dear Administrator Pruitt:
I am writing to follow up on my invitation for you to speak at a forum on the legislative and regulatory issues facing the construction industry on October 5, 2017. The forum is being held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The event will be hosted by the Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs and sponsored by the Colorado Association of Home Builders (CAHB) and the Associated General Contractors of Colorado (AGC of Colorado). The event is expected to draw approximately 200 participants from CAHB and AGC of Colorado and will be a members-only event that is not open to the public or press. Your session will be a one-on-one "fireside chat" moderated by Jerry Howard, CEO of the National Association of Home Builders, to discuss environmental opportunities and challenges confronting the construction industry in Colorado.
A robust residential and commercial construction industry is essential to a thriving economy and to boosting job growth in Colorado and nationally. We appreciate your strong leadership in forwarding the President's agenda on regulatory reform by addressing the concerns of the nation's home builders and developers as you work toward common-sense approaches to protect our water, air and land, while simultaneously avoiding undue economic burdens on the nation's construction community.
We deeply appreciate your consideration of this request. The Colorado Association of Home Builders would be pleased to cover your travel expenses to Colorado Springs for the event (transportation and lodging). If you have any questions, please contact me at 719-499-7764 or scott@hbacolorado.com
Very Sincerely,
Scott Smith CEO Colorado Association of Home Builders
