Recent regulations under the Drug Abuse Control Amendments of 1965 require control of depressant, stimulant or hallucinogenic chemicals. Two such chemicals are sold under the B&A Label: Chloral Hydrate, U. S. P. Paraldehyde, Purified Code 1561 Code 2046 2. To comply with these regulations, it will be necessary, effective May 1, 1966; a) to maintain an accurate record of all stocks on hand and subsequent receipts of such chemicals, and b) maintain a record of all shipments of these chemicals, including returns. 3. These records should include: Chemical name, code number, lot number, net weight of each package, name and address of customer or supplier and date shipped or received. All records must be kept for a period of 3 years and should be maintained in a bound notebook in such a manner as to facilitate their inspection by F.D.A. personnel. 4. Please advise if your location is now handling either of these chemicals. If your location is handling either of the above chemicals or the Eastman Kodak chemicals listed below, it must be registered with the F.D.A. Contact the Supervisor of Budget, Morristown Accounting, to obtain any necessary registration. Quality C.B. No. 214 is attached for your guidance. (Note paragraphs 1, 4, and 5.) 5.
