Miquel Gomez has not been an active employee of Gilman Insulation since May of 1989. Neither Gilman Insulation, its officers or any affiliated companies endorse Mr. Gomez' claims or comments regarding Coastal's Corpus Christi refinery. The incident of May 20, 1989 was seen as an isolated and unforeseen occurrence. For that reason Gilman immediately mobilized the following day to work in the same area as the fire. Gilman has continued to work safely in all areas of the plant since. Gilman is interested in coordinating with all industrial owners to create the safest possible working environment for all parties. As with all refiners in the area there are hydrocarbons and ignition sources present at all times and precautions must be taken to ensure a safe environment. Gilman Insulation will continue to support Coastal in running an accident free work place.
