Process Description: Rolls-Royce manufactures aerospace engine at Plant 8 located at 2001 South Tibbs Avenue and at Plant 5 located at 2355 South Tibbs Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana. The facility has about thirty-five (35) test cells. These test cells are used in tesing different types of aviation engines with varieties of fuels such as jet fuel, diesel oil 32, ultra-low sulfur diesel, and natural gas. Most engines are tested for performance, power output, vibration, leaks, temperature, electronic controls, and thrust. TOUR INFORMATION EPA toured the facility: Yes Photos and/or Videos: were taken during the inspection. Field Measurements: were not taken during this inspection. RECORDS REVIEW EPA did not review any records on-site. CLOSING CONFERENCE Requested documents: The facility personnel took pictures on their camera due to the policy. EPA requested those pictures for the report. The facility sent pictures to EPA through electronic mail on August 29, 2019.
