REPORT Of THF CHAIKKAM The chalrwan opened the Meting by reading a letter fro* the Pederal Trade Coarlsslon, as Exhibit "A* attached, inquiring about certain statenents used In the advertising of the Lead Industries Association. He stated that the Secretary had begun work upon a reply. The Secretary's rough draft was read and after dis cussion the Secretary was provided with numerous suggestions and requested to prepare a proMelnary draft for circulation to the Cownlttea Mahers at an early date. It was agreed that the existing policy as laid down originally by the Advisory Beard contlnua both as to the distribution of material and' the answering of requests. It was suggested that an at tempt be made in the near future to ascertain the naees of all the paint manufacturers in the country producing pure white lead paint. Mr. Cobba volunteered to take this re quest up with the Agency.
