This will be further strengthened if, as 1 believe, some of the manu- facturers advertise that their equipment operates as well on leaded fuels as on clear fuels. Dr. Kehoe feels that we should concern our selves with this situation. As a preliminary step, I wonder whether your roup could obtain an overall picture of the present situation. As I see it, what we would like to know is about as follows * 1. A list of the manufacturers making, let us say, at least lh% of the gasoline burning appliances other than engines, suoh as camp stoves, lanterns, space heaters. 2. Descriptive literature covering their equipment and particularly information as to whether or not claims are made that the equipment operates satisfactorily on leaded gasoline. 5.
