I confirm that I can be available during the week of 21-28 March and the week commencing 17 April. The reports from the radiologists are very informative. The numerous chest XRays between 1967 and 1990, and detailed CT examinations in 1990, show that Mr Gallagher has minimal, if any, asbestos reiated changes. He has no evidence of pulmonary fibrosis, and the pleural thickening and calcification is more likely to be related to his past operation and infection, rather than asbestos. Of particular significance arc the findings of extensive emphysema with large bullae.
