In many cases, this is a result of the OSHA hazard communication standard which requires any carcinogens present at greater than 0. 1% and all hazardous materials greater than 1% (if the mixture has not been evaluated for hazard) to be listed on Material Safety Data Sheets. The recent Lubrizol request is a good example of this issue. To assist us in responding to these requests I have enclosed the OSHA carcinogen list. This is a compilation of the reference sources OSHA considers for carcinogen identification.
