Provided CBI warning to facility The following information was obtained verbally from DAP Inc. (DAP) unless otherwise noted. Process Description: The facility began operations in 1974. They typically run from 5 AM to 1 PM, 5 days a week with 105 employees. DAP produces adhesives, cement glues, aerosols, paints, contact glue, and cartridge adhesives. DAP uses 9 solvents from their tank farm as raw materials. These raw materials are used to produce adhesives and paints. For the paint line, there are two mixing tanks with a capacity of 250 and 450 gallons, respectively. Once the paint is mixed, a bag encloses the top of the tank, and it is either stored or packaged. For adhesives, there are 6 mixers dependent on the type of adhesive mixed. There are 2 cement mixers, 2 mastic mixers, and 2 latex mixers, each with cooling jackets. Temperatures are recorded at the mixing tanks at the time of mixing. From the mixing tanks, product either goes to holding tanks or is packaged. Aerosol paint cans are filled with paint, acetone, and propane as a propellent.
