Congratulations on your interim roll as Secretary of Interior. We are pleased you are in that position. I cannot imagine the incredible workload you have to juggle during the government shutdown. The issues never stop coming, and without staff to handle them it must be a significant challenge. 1 am writing to request 15 minutes of your time on a phone call with Moffat and Garfield Counties so we can address a couple unresolved sage grouse issues. The Counties were almost complete in our negotiations with BLM regarding final language for the Colorado Sage Grouse Record of Decision when the government shutdown happened and negotiations were ceased. Governor Polis has indicated his intentions on weighing in on the grouse plan, which is very concerning to Moffat and Garfield Counties. We are available for a 15 minute phone call next week Jan 30, 31. or Feb Ist if that works for you. If those days don't work for you, please let us know what would better fit in your schedule.
