We are enclosing herewith a copy of changes made to 1980 Annual Survey of Manufacturers Form MA-100 to assist you in the completion of the enclosed copy of subject form for your 1980 operations. The instruction booklet mailed to you last year will be in effect until the year of 1982, so please use same.
End-of-year inventory data should be entered for 1979 as well as 1980 in item 7 of the MA-100 report if it is blank or incorrect. For all other items, only 1980 data are requested. Report assets in terms of original cost and NOT depreciated or replacement cost.
Value to be used for pricing interplant transfers. Refer to part 1 item D of page 1, re Multi-Establishment Companies. Sales prices not available at your location or division will be furnished by this office upon request for use in preparing the report. If requested, please furnish schedule of ail shipments with the following headings:
