Kehoe College of Medicine Eden Avenue Cincinnati, Odio Dear Dr. Kehoe: I have approved your statement of expenses, and have forwarded it to the Rochester Products Division for payment. I am a little tardy in acknowledging your letter, 'which was due to the fact that I have been away from the office a great deal in the past week. I can assure you that I cer tainly appreciated the opportunity of meeting you and of having been associated with you, as I feel I learned a great deal. If you should ever have the opportunity to be in Buffalo, I certainly would like to have you look me up. It seems that it, "never rains, but it pours". Since I saw you, we have developed two lead cases,and having in mind your comments regarding the so-called laboratory analy sis that we have been subjected to, I found that I have become a "doubting Thomas", and in neither c&se has there been an intelligent blood test or urinalysis made. Should we continue to run into as many lead cases as we apparently seem to have, I am going to suggest to The State Insurance Fund.' that they permit a local Doctor who has laboratory experience to, visit your Laboratory and try to learn something about making proper tests; this, of course, with your permission. I would then feel that we at least have a start on making the proper diagnosis and I would no longer be in a position of not knowing whether we were actually paying for lead poisoning or something else; or, on the other hand, actually having a lead case and doing an injustice to a Claimant, through faulty diagnosis. If you would object to this procedure, please do not hesitate to express your opinion frankly. I intend to be in New York next week and will take the matter up with the head of the Claim Department of The State Insurance Eund, N 5971 Dr. Robert A.
