Rosenberg ( Central Files Tony Ozarchuk, from our Safety Department, contacted Vallen Corporation, representatives of Scott Aviation Corporation, regarding the air require ments for fresh air masks. Normally the masks, on demand, supply one (1) ft3 per minute per man. However, in our climate and under stress conditions a man can use five (5) to seven (7) times that much. Based on this information and discussion held with Raul Hernandez, I recommend that the fresh air supply system be designed as follows: (1) Air usage per mask - seven (7) ft3/minute.
