The following inf01mation was obtained verbally from facility personnel.
Company Ownership: The facility has had the same ownership since at least 2012.
Process Description: The Weber Packaging Solutions, Inc. (Weber) facility prints labels and assembles label makers. Weber receives blank label sheets in large rolls with an adhesive backing already applied from various vendors. Weber than prints labels on this paper using a variety of inks, as well as varnishes, many of which contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOC emissions are not controlled, but Weber tracks the an1ount of the VOC used as emissions. Note that Weber bas several ultraviolet light presses that convert and bond VOCs to the substrate. Weber finishes labels by cutting them to size. Dust emissions from cutting are captured by two dust collectors that vent inside the building. Acetone and alcohol are used for cleaning as needed and also tracked for emissions accounting purposes.
Weber also assembles label making machines for sale. The majority of parts for these label makers are manufactured off-site, but some parts are machined onsite in the machining area.
