Gawason As we discussed 1/23, we have seen color drift: problems in the most re cent run of T/3086 Clear. One possible cause in variation is the nature of the plasticizer currently used, Nuoplaz 6903. In order to investigate this cause, the following actions should be taken: 1. Paul Gawason should provide one-qt. samples of the next six shipments of Nuoplaz 6903. 2. These samples should be compared via GC analysis, pH and acid number. 3. Roger Eckman should compare each plasticizer sample for its effect on color in T/3086 Clear, using DOP as a control. (Resin and pigment should be masterbatched to eliminate that variable.) If this testing does not lead to a solution of this color drift problem, Paul will initiate investigation of other variables such as resin type and blend time. / WCC/jst COLORITE 012561
