The difference between the revised July, 1972 Budget and the actual number of employees at the end of July is represented by 7 vacancies. We are not attempting to fill any of these vacancies at the present time.
The labor turnover rate at the Escambia Plant was 1.54 for the month of July, 1972,
We had a total of 40 walk-in applicats, 31 applications were issued, 14 applicants were interviewed and 9 were tested. Of the 9 tested, 1 was female and 8 were males. Five males passed the pre-employment tests successfully and these applications were placed in our active file. We received 104 resumes and 4 applications by mail.
SAFETY
The Escambia Plant worked approximately 60,286 man-hours during the month of July, 1972.

Medical Section
The Medical Section treated 14 injuries for Escambia and 6 for Carroll, performed 13 annual physicals and gave a total of 8 immunization injections.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
One (1) 5-year service award was presented.

LABOR RELATIONS
The union activity at Monsanto Company has slowed consider ably. Monsanto announced their wage increase and following
that announcement, there was a definite decrease in union talk and activity.

LABOR RELATIONS (Cont'd.)
The union activity at American Cyanamid is continuing at a fairly rapid pace. It is felt that the union has cards on 50% of the employees which the union wishes to organize but no petition for an election has come yet.
INSURANCE
Two representatives of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company conducted an inspection of our plant facilities on July 11th and 12th in connection with submitting a proposal for under writing our Workmen's Compensation, General and Auto Liability Insurance policies. Both individuals were quite pleased with what they saw.
We paid a total of 86 claims under our Group Hospitalization Program which amounted to a total of $ 11,130.36 during the month of July, 1972.
GENERAL
Mr. J. Gordon Gibert passed away on July 9, 1972. He had been employed with the company since August, 1955.
GENERAL
Security Guide booklets were issued to all exempt employees
during the month of July,
