Jon Seymour From: Jon Seymour C "p"e"rsonat Emaif/Ex". 6"j Sent: Thursday, Julyl3,'2017 9:28 PM ' To: palich.christian@epa.gov Subject: Mike Dourson Appointment I have known Mike Dourson for nearly 40 years, first when I was a toxicologist for Procter & Gamble and later as a Board member of TERA, covering the span from when he worked for the EPA to when he founded and built TERA, . Since my retirement I have been President of a local land trust protecting land in the floodplain of the Great Miami River. My involvement with the TERA Board called on me to use my experience as a toxicologist and as President of another 501 (c)3 organization. Mike has always approached problems in toxicology with a broad perspective that combines interest, enthusiasm, expertise and the desire to solve problems cooperatively. He has worked across the spectrum of foreign governments, the federal government, state and local governments as well as universities, foundations, and for-profit businesses and has shown equal facility in dealing with all. His contacts all over the world and his reputation for upholding high ethical standards should serve the EPA and this country well. Jon Seymour, Ph.D. President, Oxbow, Inc. 17cv1906 Sierra Club v. Frank is a partner at the Schiff law firm in Chicago. He was the EPA Region 5 Administrator (as a very young man) at the end of the Clinton Administration. I worked closely with Frank, who represented Dow, on the negotiation of the CERCLA REFS AOC with EPA Region 5 for the Tittabawassee River. At the present time Frank does not represent Dow (he changed firms after the T. River). His family is prominent in Cook County Democratic politics. Frank had been with the DOJ (and I believe with the Illinois AG's office before that and in the Army).
