The first knowledge we had of the alleged claim of Fred . Strickland was copy of the Hotice of Hearing *hich we receive from the Indnstriai Acci dent Commission of the State of California on August 8 Ve have no further information.
You are correct in your understanding that since January 1 , 1952 we have not been insured with your company, end we have notified our present carrier of this possible claim.
According to copy of employment record attached to Hotice of Hearing, Mr. Strickland Laima to have worked for Armstrong Cork Company during the period 1948 to 1952 id again for periods in 1955# 1956 and 1957. For your information our records show that following termination of his employment in June, 1952 Mr. Strickland worked for Armstrong Cork Company from March to November in 1955 ad from December, 1956 to early Septester, 1957. Ion will be interested to know that from April, 1958 through July 6, 1958 (our last payroll record report) Mr. Strickland has been working for Armstrong Contracting id Supply Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Armstrong Cork Company which was formed January 1, 1958 to carry on contract operations formerly conducted by Armstrong Cork Company.
Ve have checked our records and list below all the information ve are able to give you on Hr. Strickland* employment prior to January 1, 1952. In accordance with our Retention of Records Schedule all payroll records prior to 1950 have been destroyed, id contract files are kept for only seven years following completion of contract.
