THE MINE VENTILATION SOCIETY OF SOUTH AFRICA VOLUMES 32 - 41 1979 -1988 Introduction One of the principal objectives of our Society is to disseminate knowledge, and the main way in which this is achieved is in our monthly journal. Access to the articles both by subject and author is considerably enhanced by the availability of a ready reference and for this reason the Society has published a Consolidated Index covering each decade since the inception of the Journal. Previous Indices have covered 1948 -- 1957, 1958 -- 1968 (eleven years) and 1969 -- 1978.
