We have not yet received a reply as to his availability. I also suggested to you that if he was not able to attend and do a Keynote talk, we'd love to have you do the same. We will be in Tulsa for our annual national Underground Injection Control meeting which is done in partnership with the USEPA Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water. The Keynote address is early Monday morning, February 12, 2018. If your speaking is a possibility, or if you are simply interested in attending, please let me know. We have a number of" issues" you would be interested in. I will be in D.C. the week immediately after New Years Day doing meetings on the Hill. If you are in D.C. that week and could meet for a briefing on the Ground Water Protection Council state/federal projects and issues, I'd love to do so. I will have 4 states with me if that is of additional interest to you. Best Regards, Mike Paque Executive Director GWPC Ph: 405-516-4972 Cell: 405-255-0227 17cv1906 Sierra Club v. The GWPC National UIC Conference is the country's premier forum for the latest information about Underground Injection Control, cpyerihg ippicyfrom both a technical and regulatory perspective. The event s well attended by UIC experts from across the country, including representatives from state and federal government, industry, non-governmental organizations, and academia, , > ,/i.r' Your remarks would set the tone for the conference, and our attendees would be very in terested in hearing about EPA's goals and initiatives under your leadership, especially those related to water (WGTUS), oil a nd natural gas. Additionally, attendees would- be eagertb hear about your position related to RCRA Subtitle D. You may recall the GWPC's (and our state members) requests that EPA makean immediate determination that new fdrai regulations are not necessary. Some of this was conveyed in P letter from StatesFirst, a partnership between the GWPC and the Interstate Oil & Gas Compact Commission (lOGCC). The GWPC has been a leader in assisting states in the regulation, -oversight and ma nagement of oil, gas and UIC facilities through the creation of Risk Based Data Management Solutions (RBDMS) programs and FrgcFocus, used by more than 25 states nationally, One of our most recent successes includes a Seismic developed in coordination with the State of Oklahoma, which has given the Oklahoma Corporation Commission staff access to near real-time seismic and injection data allowing for analysis in minutes compared to days. This;technology can now be evolved and; expanded nationally through a collaboration, improving efficiencies and saving taxpayer dollars. These are just a few of the many examples of how GWPC, through events like the UIC conference, bring people together to proactively find state solutions to environmental and groundwater challenges. I look forward to a favorable reply, If you have any questions, please contact me directly at 405-516-4972 or by email at mpaque@gwpc.org.
